Welding Technology
The Welding Technology program is designed to facilitate students understanding of the welding process. Students are exposed to topics such as safety, materials, material estimation, types of welds, weld positions, tools of the trade, applied math, and blueprint reading.
Students can take Dual Enrollment through Calhoun for this program.
Course Offerings:
First Year: NCCER Welding I, NCCER Welding II
Second Year: NCCER Welding III, NCCER Welding IV
Third Year: CTE Lab in Architecture & Construction
Fourth Year: Senior Career Pathway Project-Architecture &
Career Opportunities:
Manufacturing/ Fabrication/ Repair, Construction, Inspection, Education, Research, Technical Sales, Government/ Military, and Skilled Trades.
Earning Potential:
Average pay is $20 per hour but can range from $10.00 per hour to $60.00 per hour.
