HVAC

HVAC/R is designed to facilitate students understanding of the HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) industry. Topics include basic refrigeration, fundamentals of electricity, residential and control wiring, troubleshooting skills for gas furnaces and heat pumps, brazing, evacuation, recovery of refrigerant, installation practices, mini-split heat pumps, and other common industry standards.

Students can take Dual Enrollment through Calhoun for this program.

Courses:

Freshmen: Intro to Electricity and Residential Wiring

First Year: Construction & Manufacturing, Safety and Health Regulations

Second Year: NCCER HVAC I, NCCER HVAC II

Third Year: NCCER HVAC III, Career Pathway Project
